Pour Decisions - Burgundian Ministry
The War of the Burgundian Succession, 1477.
The Battle of Nancy marked a significant end to a chapter in Europe: the defeat and death of Charles the Bold, Duke of Burgundy. Following his death, a power vacuum ensued in the powerful Burgundian state, with no male heir. As Charles’s daughter Mary became the sole heir, the death of the Duke left a moment of opportunity for the Habsburgs and France to seize control of Burgundian lands, as well as other foreign adversaries. In this committee, delegates will take the roles of nobles, royals, and foreign envoys to preserve the Burgundian state. Will Burgundy survive as an independent power, or will it fall victim to the expansionary ambitions of Europe’s hungry monarchs?
