Great Expectations - War Council of Alexander the Great, 332 BC
The Siege of Tyre.
On the rocky shores of the eastern Mediterranean, a small island fortress has the gall to defy the greatest conqueror of their age. The city of Tyre, with towering walls, powerful navy, and wealthy merchants, is one of the most formidable strongholds in the region, yet it stands directly in the path of Alexander the Great, and his relentless campaign against the Achaemenid Kingdom. After a Tyrian refusal to let Alexander sacrifice at a temple in their city, a siege unlike any other is set in motion. With no fleet strong enough to challenge Tyre at sea, Alexander and his army must overcome Tyre’s defenses through creativity and ingenuity, before time, resources, and morale run out. In a struggle of resourcefulness, endurance, and ambition, the fate of a city and the legend of a conqueror hang in the balance.
