The 70th Filmfare Awards

(Mid Level of Crisis elements)

Committee Description

The 70th Filmfare Awards will take place in 2025 to recognize the best of Hindi cinema’s recent work. The award show, one of the most prestigious ceremonies for Hindi cinema, is expected to feature many dazzling stars along with key industry stakeholders such as network executives and more. Moreover, this ceremony carries further importance as media and art have always been crucial ways to advance social and political issues. Internationally, this is an opportunity to make a statement, display the industry's cultural wealth, and heighten India's soft power. The event has recently faced challenges regarding broadcasting, internal politics, and advocacy for a more diverse way to represent artistic expression. With over 2000 films produced annually, the nominations must reflect the expansive range of talent in the industry, leaving representation and inclusivity at the forefront of our agenda. We must also recognize the importance of engaging our audience on a national as well as a global scale and delegates will be tasked with adapting market strategies as viewership trends shift and new platforms emerge. Internally, you will navigate the complexities of production, finances, and operations in the face of many unforeseen challenges. Issues in viewership, audience, and nepotism are some dilemmas you will be tasked to handle diligently in this thrilling environment. Your decision-making will be integral to this high-stakes event, all to ensure the Filmfare experience is worthy of its esteemed reputation and legacy. Join the committee on the 70th Filmfare Awards and be a part of shaping this iconic event. Help address the challenges, promote inclusivity and fairness, and restore the Filmfare Awards to its former acclaim as the preeminent and most recognized award show in Hindi cinema. The Dais are so excited to meet all of the delegates at SSUNS 2024!
