SSUNS 2025 Workshops
Workshops are a great way to build upon Model UN diplomacy skills, helping delegates refine their research, debate, and strategy techniques! While not required, they’re recommended for delegates looking to step up their game in committee! Here are the Workshops that will be offered this year at SSUNS 2025:
Introduction to General Assembly (GAs)
This workshop will offer delegates the chance to learn the basics about how General Assembly Committees operate. This includes topics such as Rules of Procedure, speaking and unmod tips as well as how to best research and prepare depending on the type of committee.
Introduction to Specialized Committees (SPECs)
This workshop will offer delegates the chance to learn the basics about how Specialized Committees operate. This includes topics such as Rules of Procedure, speaking and unmod tips as well as how to best research and prepare depending on the type of committee.
Introduction to Crisis
This workshop will offer delegates the chance to learn the basics about how Crisis Committees operate. This includes topics such as Rules of Procedure, speaking and unmod tips as well as how to best research and prepare depending on the type of committee.
Advanced General Assemblies (GAs)
This workshop will offer delegates the chance to learn advanced tips and tricks to improve their delling in General Assemblies (GAs), ECOSOCs, and Specialized Committees. Topics are TBD but will generally include more advanced strategies that can be applied in committee. This is recommended for delegates who already have MUN experience.
Advanced Specialized Committees (SPECs)
This workshop will offer delegates the chance to learn advanced tips and tricks to improve their delling in Specialized Committees. Topics are TBD but will generally include more advanced strategies that can be applied in committee. This is recommended for delegates who already have MUN experience.
Advanced Crisis Committees
This workshop will offer delegates the chance to learn advanced tips as tricks for Crisis committees. Topics are TBD but will generally include more advanced strategies that can be applied in committee. This is recommended for delegates who already have MUN experience.
Crash-Course MUN 101
This workshop will allow newer delegates to learn about the foundations of MUN, with the specifics of Rules of Procedures including types of motions, and directives and resolution cycles. This is recommended for delegates with less to no MUN experience, or those who need a friendly reminder.
McGill Delegation Team Workshop (Filmed)
This workshop will be led by the McGill’s Delegation Team and will allow SSUNS delegates to sit in on one of the Team’s workshops. Here you will be able to watch a workshop while learning from the students that staff SSUNS as well compete on the university circuit.
