How to Build a Superpower—German Unification*

*(Advanced Committee)

The year is 1866, in the month of January. Germany finds itself on a precipice: the HRE remains dismantled following Napoleon’s terrible wars, the Revolutions of 1848 have been swept aside, and the Prussian and Austrian crowns threaten to tear central Europe to shreds. Due to the mounting tensions on all sides, and the fear of outright war destroying the nations they love so dearly, Prince Erich Von Karling and Princess Maria Von Faber-Castell have called the foremost Monarchs, Statesmen, and Thinkers of Europe to meet in their castle in Frankfurt.

This committee has been assembled with the hope that discussions may quell the tensions and help forge a new path for Germany. Will the German states stand together, or apart? Will the Holy Roman Empire be re-established? Who shall lead the new nation? Whatever happens, may Unity and Justice and Freedom prevail!

The Dais is excited to meet all of the delegates at SSUNS 2021!
