Committee Description

Something strange is afoot off the coast of Japan. Marine animals disappearing without any trace; shapes large enough to be submarines detected underwater, yet no registered vessels are in the area; seismic waves recorded on the Richter scale, despite no tectonic plate activity. These observations completely confound all scientific explanations… except one: kaiju. The Japanese Government has come to believe that Gojira is looming in the ocean. Every second that passes is a second closer to Gojira making landfall. In response, the government has assembled a council of advisers to protect Japan from this terrifying threat. The council will be composed of scientists, politicians, corporate executives, and specialists across a number of fields. All council members are united in the mission of protecting all Japanese citizens from harm.

In this committee, delegates will be tasked with responding to the threat of Gojira in a realistic, modern-day setting. Crisis updates will challenge delegates with humanitarian issues, scientific setbacks, international relations implications, and so much more. This committee is perfect not just for kaiju movie experts, but anyone interested in protecting Japan from the threat of a 500-foot lizard. The committee will be constantly evolving, shifting alongside the progress of delegates and Gojira’s next move. Do you think you have what it takes to join this Council of Advisers?
