The Return of the Conservative—2024 Republican National Convention
The year is 2024; devastating midterm election results have left the Republican Party reeling and in need of change quickly. As the end of President Biden’s first term nears, the 43rd Republican National Convention will be of the utmost importance. Many are calling for change, reform, and a new strategy for the upcoming elections. After the controversial Trump era, numerous prominent GOP members feel that in order to regain control of the government and lead the United States of America back into prosperity, there must be a movement away from Trumpism, and a new direction for the party needs to be developed. However, the many voices calling for change are not all necessarily in agreement...
In the Republican National Convention committee, delegates will be tasked with juggling the numerous demands of their constituents to debate new policy, handle the political pressure of adversaries, and address the prospect of electing a new leader to represent the Republican party in the upcoming 2024 United States Presidential Elections. While this is no small feat, the fate of the party (and by extension, the nation) is in the hands of the prominent republican figures who will be vying to establish certain policies and striving to prove themselves. Dozens of factors may come into play during the convention as the party shifts closer to the precipice of instability. Will delegates manage to establish firm policies, elect a strong leader, and unite under the Republican banner, or will they fall apart like Kanye’s presidential prospects? Only time will tell.
The Dais is excited to meet all of the delegates at SSUNS 2021!
